Little Miss Smokey Puss Puss Pants (Smokey)

19 years ago I went to the Milwaukee Humane Society to see about finding a cat to adopt. My then husband thought it might cheer me up after I had fallen into a massive depression after he demanded we move away from my family and friends in Chicago. She was in a room by herself with a note on the door that read “one cat household only”. When I asked about her the workers there almost seemed scared. She walked out of that room like a badass afraid of no one or nothing and at that moment I smiled and proclaimed “that’s the one!” She was a massive asshole who attacked everyone, myself included lol. She would comfort me through the loss of three human children, and would become my child. 15 years ago a male human would enter her life and become her favorite. She was always a daddy’s girl. And I know she liked him more than me. She had some wacky adventures and brought more joy to our lives than I ever thought imaginable. She was a fighter until the very end. I’m happy you aren’t in pain anymore, and I hope wherever you are you aren’t driving them too nuts! Rest In Peace Lil’ Miss Smokey Puss Puss Pants. This world will never be the same without you 😘
